PLEASE NOTE This panel has been designed with three sizes. Small panels typically fit most childrens patterns. The FH size has two image sizes available. The panel itself will be the same size but you can select your preferred size of image. We highly recommend comparing the measurements to your pattern of choice to decide what works best for you! For reference, the strikes shown are made using the 8x11 image.
We may be biased, but we happen to think our fabric is the best! We have been sourcing our ethically printed fabric for over two years and we absolutely love the vivid colours, incredibly soft hand, print quality, and fabric durability. See below for fabric base descriptions as well as some information about ordering.
Cotton Spandex Jersey: The best friend. An all-around versatile base. Our cotton spandex jersey (often referred to as CL) is approximately 220-230 GSM with lots of stretch. This makes it great for light hoodies, tops with a bit of structure, kids leggings, and lighter weight kids pants. I would personally NOT recommend this base for adult leggings as it’s a bit on the thinner side for leggings. 4-way stretch (30-50% both ways), 95% Cotton, 5% Spandex.
Bamboo Spandex Jersey: The dream. Our 230-240 GSM bamboo is soft, silky, lightweight, stretchy, and breathable. It is perfect for comfy tees, tanks, dresses, light baby swaddles, and more! 4-way stretch (50-75% both ways), 95% bamboo 5% spandex.
Cotton French Terry: The multi-talent. Our cotton french terry is a slightly more structured alternative to the bamboo french terry. Offers a nice soft hand while still having a bit of drape. Flat on the print side and soft loops on the back side. This fabric is great for hoodies, joggers, and more structured raglan or dolman sweatshirts. 4-way stretch (40-60% both ways), 260-280 GSM, 95% cotton 5% spandex.
Bamboo French Terry: The hidden gem. Our bamboo french terry is the best of both worlds between bamboo jersey and cotton french terry. Super soft hand, a little warmer but still offers great drape. Flat on the print side and soft little loops on the back side. This fabric is perfect for slouchy sweaters and hoodies, comfy warm tops and dresses, and it makes amazing joggers, too! 4-way stretch (40-60% both ways), 270-280 GSM, 95% bamboo 5% spandex.
Double Stretch Minky: The baby bunny. This is the softest and coziest of all our bases. With a short nap of fuzz on both sides and great stretch, this fabric makes great blankets, base layers, super cozy loungewear, and snuggly sweaters. 2-way stretch (60-75% across the grain, slight mechanical stretch with the grain), 280-300 GSM, 95% poly 5% spandex.
Cotton Poplin: The vintage charm. Our cotton poplin is a simple woven (non-stretch) fabric. Lightweight with a bit of drape. Great for button down tops, light shorts or pants, dresses, or quilting. No stretch, 150 GSM, 100% cotton.
Swim: The freestyle. Our swim base is a nice mid-weight fabric with great stretch and amazing drape. Ideal for swimsuits but also makes great dresses with fantastic twirl factor. 4-way stretch (50-60% both ways), 230 GSM, 85% polyester 15% spandex.
Linen: The earth-lover. Our lightweight linen is a classic woven (non-stretch) fabric. Quite lightweight and very slightly sheer with nice drape. Great for button down tops, light shorts or pants, dresses, and non-apparel items like curtains or sheets. No stretch, 140-150 GSM, 100% linen.
Canvas: The crafter. Our canvas base is a heavier weight woven (non-stretch) fabric with a distinct texture. Offers limited drape and a stiffer hand. Great for upholstery, bags, throw pillows, and jackets. No stretch, 250gsm, 100% cotton.
All of our fabrics are digitally printed on a white base, so they will naturally lighten slightly when stretched. Please note that while our amazing printers always do their best to ensure accurate printing, colours may vary slightly from screen to screen, screen to fabric, and base to base.
